I would like to take a minute to congratulate the President on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Clearly the substance of his 12 days in office puts him on par with the life achievements of mother Theresa or Ghandi. I think next he should win this years’ Idol contest without showing up. How about as a consolation for not bring home the olympics we give him a gold medal. I’m sure whoever is not awarded won’t mind.
I personally liked Brent Bozell’s blog entry on this subject, click here to read it.
on the home front the latest health care proposal coming out of the senate is relying on 420 billion dollars in cost savings from medicare. This wont make grandma real happy going into the christmas season.
The attorney general’s recent announcement that the presidents promise to close GITMO will probably not happen. This most likely will not make Obama’s looney left base happy.

General Ray Odierno told reporters at the pentagon that victory in Iraq might never be reported. There are currently about 123,000 troops in Iraq. President Obama states that all combat troops will be gone by August 2010, but there will still be non-combat troops in Iraq till the end of 2011 to help train Iraqi forces.

The us government believes that nuclear power plants in Iran have all of the supplies for making nuclear bombs. Apparently there is a lot of Iranian power plants that hold the same materials. the Obama administration (NOT INCLUDING OBAMA HIMSELF) spent the day trying to negotiate with Iran to allow the United states military into the plants to investigate the creating of nuclear bombs, in which no progress was made. All Iran seems to be doing is laughing in our government’s face. Obama says that the U.s. government will continue negotiating with Iran (although i don’t see how it will work seeing how it obviously didn’t work the first time). Oh well. Maybe the wonderful president who did such a good job with communications with other countries will finally figure out that being the “nice guy” won’t always get you anywhere when it comes to international affairs.
By the way, while the world was busy averting a nuclear confrontation, the president found it more important to make a presentation in Denmark to bring the 2016 Olympic games to Chicago.
Mr. President: why don’t you find the time to call your general in Afghanistan? Maybe you’ll find out what is going on.
